A Michigan mom is facing upgraded murder charges in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl who was her son’s girlfriend.
Inkster prosecutors accused Charla Pendergrass, 49, of directing her 24-year-old son, Jalen, to kill London Thomas, who was discovered by police stuffed inside a plastic container in the back of an SUV about 15 miles outside of Detroit.
The mother and son were previously charged with second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. But The upgraded charges and additional charge of unlawful imprisonment comes after an ex-girlfriend of Jalen’s testified in court, WXYZ Detroit reported…
