A ground stop that went into effect Wednesday evening at Detroit Metro Airport has been lifted.
In a statement to CBS News, the Wayne County Airport Authority said its fire department responded to a “potential mechanical issue” on an aircraft. WCAA says crew applied water to one of the engines.
“There were no injuries, and passengers were not in danger. The aircraft will undergo maintenance. A brief FAA ground stop was implemented and has since been lifted,” WCAA said…
