$77K, 17 guns, cocaine seized in Detroit-Downriver drug bust, police say

A months-long investigation into a suspected drug trafficking organization operating in the Detroit and Downriver areas has led to 17 guns, $77,000 in cash, cocaine, marijuana and more being seized, police said.

The Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) began investigating the organization in the fall of 2025, according to Michigan State Police. On Jan. 22, 2026, detectives executed six search warrants as part of the case.

During those searches, investigators seized the following:

  • 17 firearms
  • More than 800 grams of cocaine
  • 53 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • More than 14 pounds of marijuana
  • An unspecified amount of MDMA.
