Popular chain restaurant facing national closures shutters Detroit spot

LIVONIA, MI – The Bahama Breeze restaurant chain is permanently closing all of its restaurants, including its only Michigan location on Haggerty Road in Livonia.

Darden Restaurants, owner of the Caribbean-inspired Bahama Breeze chain, announced Tuesday, Feb. 3 that all of the 28 restaurants would be shuttered, according to a press release. Fourteen of the 28 locations will be converted to other Darden Brands.
