The famous hot dog on wheels, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, was to make its return to Detroit on Friday, Feb. 6, and will roll around until Thursday, Feb. 12, according to a news release from the company.
Every year, a dozen 27-foot-long Fiberglas hot dogs tour the country in six Oscar Mayer Wienermobiles, doing “meat-and-greets” for onlookers.
Now on its Midwest leg, Bologna Bridget, Bun-Length Ben and the Wienermobile have stops at events in Detroit this weekend. They include:
- Friends of Rouge Park Winterfeston Saturday, Feb. 7, from noon-4 p.m. at Service Yard Drive.
- Winter At Valade on Sunday, Feb. 8, from noon-4 p.m. at 2670 Atwater St.
