City outside Detroit settles with man repeatedly stun-gunned by police officer

MELVINDALE, MI – A Wayne County city has settled with a man who says he was wrongfully stunned by a police officer in 2024.

The City of Melvindale has been dropped by its insurance carrier after the city agreed to settle with Drakkar Williams, according to WXYZ. The city and Williams settled in December, closing a lawsuit against the city and its police officer Lt. Matthew Furman, according to court records.
