Suspect in fatal shooting wanted, considered armed and dangerous

DANBURY — Authorities are searching for a suspect considered armed and dangerous after a Tuesday shooting left one woman dead and another person is hospitalized, in critical condition.

Stokes County Sheriff Joey Lemons said the suspect, Dorin Monte Johnson, 29, of Detroit, Michigan, was last seen driving a dark-colored SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee ,with a West Virginia license plate D23734A. He is described as a black male, 6’ 9” tall, weighing about 370 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

The woman who was killed is Cidney Banks, a 33-year-old from Detroit. Lemons, speaking during a press conference held Wednesday, said the other victim is in an area hospital, in critical but stable condition. He said the identity of the second victim is being withheld “for safety reasons.”…
