Ex-Wayne County deputy who pulled over Novi cop in retaliation sentenced

PONTIAC — A former Wayne County Sheriff’s deputy found guilty of misconduct in office for pulling over a Novi police officer in apparent retaliation for an earlier traffic stop has lost his job and been sentenced to probation.Sahil Massey, 36, of Canton, was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served and one year of probation on Feb. 25 by Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Nanci Grant.

Additionally, Massey must perform 40 hours of community service, not use or possess any firearm or other dangerous weapon, and seek and maintain employment.

He had faced up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine…
