Woman accused of forging deed, selling home of Warren man in assisted living facility

WARREN, Mich. – A 42-year-old woman is facing charges in Macomb County after reportedly selling the home of a vulnerable adult who was in an assisted living facility.

According to authorities, Shagwendola Jerna Crawford was invited to stay with a man at his Warren home in 2018. In 2024, the man suffered a fall resulting in a head injury that required 24-hour medical care.

His family was appointed legal guardians to manage his affairs and he was moved to an assisted living facility, where he died in 2025…
