Decomposed Body Pulled From Livonia Creek Shocks Hines Drive Corridor

A grim discovery along a popular Livonia roadway has turned a quiet stretch of parkland into an active crime scene. A severely decomposed body, believed to be a man, was recovered yesterday from a creek near Hines Drive and Levan Road, according to police. Officers called to the area just after 6 p.m. found the body partially submerged and clothed in a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, and black shoes.

The discovery has triggered a full investigation by Livonia authorities, who are treating the site with caution while they work to piece together what happened.

As reported by FOX 2 Detroit, officers were dispatched after a passerby reported spotting the body in the water. The station also noted that the Livonia Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 734-466-2340. Police have not yet publicly identified the person or released a cause of death.
