Taylor Apartment Blowup Ends With Boy Shot In Both Legs

A late-night argument at a Taylor apartment complex turned violent yesterday when a boy was shot in both legs, according to police. He was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition, and two juveniles who know him were taken into custody as the investigation continues.

Taylor police said officers were called to the Ponds Village complex on Eureka Road near Inkster just before 1:40 a.m. When they arrived, they found the juvenile suffering from gunshot wounds to both legs. The victim was transported to a local hospital and listed as stable, according to FOX 2 Detroit.

Police Ask for Tips

As detectives work to sort out what led to the argument and shooting, Taylor police are asking the public for help. Anyone with information is urged to call the department’s non-emergency line at 734-287-6611, or the contact listed on the city’s police page at the City of Taylor. Investigators say additional details from witnesses could help clarify what sparked the conflict.

Police have not released the ages of the victim or the two juveniles in custody, and it will be up to prosecutors to decide whether to file formal charges.
