Detroit man charged after allegedly using phone to demand cash from Bloomfield Township bank

PONTIAC, MI – A Detroit man is facing charges after allegedly using a note on his phone to demand cash from a Bloomfield Township bank, Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said.

Deshawn Steven Johnson, 51, is charged with bank robbery after the incident on April 1.

Prosecutors allege that Johnson made an appointment at the bank before showing an employee a note on his phone demanding money. He left the bank with $1,900 in cash, according to the prosecutor’s office…
