DETROIT – After repeated calls from both Sheri Divers and our newsroom, as recently as Wednesday, to the bank and its attorney, she says she is finally receiving a check — plus some additional interest.
You may remember — Sheri had been locked in an incredibly frustrating and upsetting battle to access the money her 97-year-old father left for his family inside Michigan First Credit Union — despite Sheri and her mother being listed as beneficiaries.
