Livonia hiker still missing 33 years after speaking to 2 men in helicopter in Hawaii

LIVONIA, Mich. – A Livonia hiker is still missing 33 years after he last spoke to two men in a helicopter during a trip to Hawaii.

The family of Jeffrey Zoltowski — an experienced hiker described as a generous, funny “free spirit” — marked another year since he disappeared during a solo trip to Hawaii in 1993.

“My logical brain says there’s no way he’s alive, but there’s always that teeny tiny percentage of hope,” his sister, Stephanie Siordia, told Local 4.
