Three Shops Open at Detroit’s Cadillac Arts Centre on East Side

Three stores threw open their doors Saturday at the Cadillac Arts Centre, located at 1533 Cadillac just off East Jefferson. These mark the first businesses to occupy the 25,000-square-foot building on Detroit’s east side.

In Thicket Books sells used books and vinyl records. Walk in and you’ll find the store stretches far past what you can see from the street, with rows of shelves that were still being stocked during the soft opening, as shared by Daily Detroit.

Take Me Home operates as both a store and a gallery space. Artists Jim Schatz and Peter Souza Jr. run it. They say their shop blurs “the line between gallery and domestic interior,” bringing together collectible design, functional ceramics, and works rooted in craft and material exploration…
