Man convicted in officer’s death, Mohamed Said was a former Coldwater resident

MELVINDALE , MI (WTVB) – A Wayne County jury convicted Michael Lopez on Tuesday for the shooting death of Melvindale Police Officer Mohamed Said on July 21,2024. Lopez was found guilty on all counts, including the murder of a police officer and several felony firearm charges.
