Wayne County man who fled Warren police faces weapons, drug charges

A 22-year-old man who was convicted of fleeing police earlier this year is being held in lieu of a $1 million bond after he fled from Warren police in his vehicle over a week ago and was in illegal possession of an illegally modified weapon and cocaine after being stopped by officers in another incident, according to Macomb County prosecutors.

Alonte London Davis disregarded a Warren officer’s attempt to stop him in his vehicle at 11 Mile and Ryan on April 28, authorities said in a news release. The officer terminated the chase after Davis weaved in and out of traffic but was tracked down later by the Warren Special Operations Unit, said officials. Times of the incidents were not provided.

During that traffic stop, police found crack cocaine and a black Glock pistol with an extended magazine and full auto “switch” in Davis’ vehicle, prosecutors said…
