Detroit man arrested in Monroe County after road rage incident

A 23-year-old Detroit resident was arrested in Monroe Township after a road rage incident on Wednesday, May 20.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Central Dispatch received a call regarding a road rage incident at 9:25 p.m. Deputies Luke Miyawaki and Brent Thomas, alongside Monroe police officer Adam Theisen, found the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on South Custer Road near South Telegraph Road.

Officers initiated a traffic stop near South Custer Road and Westwood Drive. When the driver exited the vehicle, they told the officers there was a loaded weapon inside. Law enforcement recovered a 9mm semi-automatic pistol near the driver’s seat. A records check indicated the driver didn’t possess a valid Michigan Concealed Pistol License…
