Outside of Ephesus Elementary, Emily Privette waves to other neighborhood parents as they gather to pick up their kids. Her son Andy, a second-grader, hops onto his younger sister’s stroller as they walk home.
“Mom, can I walk home or bike home every day?” Andy asks.
Andy bikes to school with his dad every Friday, and this is one of their favorite things about their school. Emily also has fond memories of attending Ephesus when she was a little girl. She says it was serendipitous when they found a house in the school’s walk zone.
“I just am delighted that Andy is going to school – and all my kids, hopefully – will go to school where I went to elementary school,” Privette said…
