RALEIGH — North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced Wednesday, June 10, the arrest of Aakarshit Mahajan, 24, of Kent Road in Raleigh.
Mahajan was charged with insurance fraud and attempting to obtain property by false pretense, both felonies.
Special agents with the Department of Insurance’s Criminal Investigations Division allege Mahajan submitted false medical documents and photographs of vehicle damage to USAA in support of an insurance claim following a motor vehicle crash.
