DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A Durham man was arrested Wednesday after a kilogram of cocaine was found in his vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
According to the Durham County Sheriff’s Office, deputies discovered about one kilogram of cocaine and two pounds of marijuana in a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Orontes Jecquil Rogers after conducting a traffic stop.
Deputies said they then executed a search warrant on Rogers’ home in the 500 block of Brighton Road, finding 33 more pounds of marijuana.
Rogers is charged with two counts of trafficking in cocaine, trafficking in marijuana, two counts of maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver cocaine, and possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver marijuana, all felony offenses, according to the sheriff’s office…
