BENSON, N.C. (WNCN) — A Durham man is at large following a high-speed chase in Johnston County last week, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said.
According to the NCSHP, a trooper attempted to stop an Infiniti with a fake South Carolina license plate on Interstate 95 near mile marker 87 in Benson just after 1 p.m. last Thursday, Aug. 13. The driver pulled over, but fled after the trooper exited his cruiser, leading to a chase.
