Doherty’s Irish Pub & Restaurant is opening a new location.
The new 701 East Chatham St. location is the business’ second location in Cary. Minutes from downtown Cary’s growing food scene, Doherty’s team has been looking for a building in this area for years, according to Lee & Associates, the real estate firm who brokered the deal.
“For several years, Jenn Olevitch-Roberson and Charles Lanier worked with Doherty’s Irish Pub & Restaurant to find the right location near Downtown Cary,” the firm said in a post. “They knew the team, knew the vision and, after working together on the new Doherty’s at Peterson Station, had the kind of history that makes a finding the right property a true partnership.”
Doherty’s history
The pub and restaurant came to be in 1997 when Michael Doherty, a local, set out to bring Irish culture to the Triangle with Tir Na Nog in downtown Raleigh. From there, the business transitioned to Connolly’s Irish Pub in Cary.
