The start to the 2026 season hasn’t gone as planned for Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers.
After taking a brutal beatdown from LSU in their season opener, the Tigers didn’t look anything close to the type of team that we’ve grown so accustomed to seeing during Swinney’s tenure. While they did defeat Georgia Southern for their first victory of the 2026 season, it wasn’t pretty, as they didn’t cover the spread in a 22-7 win, a game we all expected to be more of a blowout.
To add to that, their starting quarterback suffered an injury that already has him ruled out for Clemson’s upcoming meeting with Bill Belichick and the Tar Heels.
