In the wake of two deadly shootings Tuesday and a third gun incident Monday, Durham police are preparing to present the department’s second-quarter crime report to the City Council on Thursday as community advocates call for increased investment in efforts to reduce gun violence.
Police Chief Stephanie R. Mardis will present the report during the City Council work session at 1 p.m. Thursday.
