RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) – A rapper filmed a video inside of a Raleigh fire station. His song talks about guns and uses a lot of profanity.
Now, city officials told CBS 17 they are aware of the video, and it is now part of an open investigation.
In a statement, a representative said “this video is not reflective of the City of Raleigh or Raleigh Fire Department’s values.”
CBS17 crews came across this video online on Monday.
Raleigh-based rapper, “CEO Showoutt” went inside of Raleigh Fire Station 12, and walked around the bay. The fire trucks had their lights on.
There, he rapped about “[his] Glock,” girls, and “life.” He then also uses an obscene hand gesture towards the end of the video, with the firetrucks behind him.
CBS17 spoke with him about how it all happened.
“It was actually kind of easy. My cameraman came up with the idea, because I guess, the title of the song [Fire Drill]. He said why don’t we just try to go to a fire station, and you dress up as a fireman,” Showoutt said.
