DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — The Durham Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect in a shooting that was captured on video surveillance.
On Jan. 18 at 8:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 800 block of Liberty Street. When police arrived, they found an 8-year-old girl suffering from a gunshot wound.
Video surveillance shows an unknown suspect firing several shots into a home.
The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said she is currently recovering.
