GREENSBORO, N.C. – A Florida man has been convicted for his role in a violent international conspiracy targeting U.S. citizens to steal their cryptocurrency through home invasions.

Remy St Felix, 24, of West Palm Beach, was found guilty by a federal jury for leading a robbery crew that conducted a series of home invasions from September 2022 to July 2023. These invasions occurred in Durham, North Carolina; Florida; Texas; and New York, where victims were kidnapped in their homes and forced to transfer their cryptocurrency.

“St Felix and his co-conspirators targeted victims across the United States for brutal home invasions, kidnappings, and robberies in order to steal cryptocurrency,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Nicole M. Argentieri. “Although the members of this violent conspiracy tried to cover their tracks through encrypted communication and anonymous financial transactions, they were not beyond the reach of our dedicated investigators and prosecutors.”
