KNIGHTDALE, N.C. (WNCN) – A man has been found safe after the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a missing endangered alert early Thursday morning. According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, 82-year-old Earl Henry Merritt was located safe by the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office around 10:20 a.m. Thursday.
