Police searching for driver who hit man on scooter on Ellis Road in Durham, officers say

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) – The Durham Police Department (DPD) is asking for help in finding a driver who officers said hit a man on an electric scooter. Durham police said the hit-and-run crash occurred just after 9 p.m. on June 27. The man on the scooter was traveling southbound on the 800 block of Ellis Road when he was struck from behind by a dark-colored sedan.
