DURHAM, NC – North Carolina Central University (NCCU) implemented an extensive security strategy during the Ultimate Homecoming Experience on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors. Despite comprehensive measures, two separate and unrelated shooting incidents disrupted the celebrations. NCCU Police, alongside local and state law enforcement, acted swiftly to manage the situations and maintain campus security.
