Wanted convicted murderer arrested after fleeing before sentencing, Burlington Police Department says

BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — A man convicted of a 2018 murder who was a wanted fugitive in Alamance County turned himself in on Thursday, according to a Burlington Police Department news release.

According to court documents, Litego Dariyonta Marshall, 47, who was out on bond and not in custody, failed to return from a lunch break during his ongoing trial.

A new order for his arrest was issued on Dec. 13.

He was found guilty of first-degree murder and robbery on Dec. 16 , in the 2018 robbery and killing of Leonidas Brown, then 32.

He is in the Alamance County Detention Center under no bond.
