Raleigh, NC – A widespread threat for severe thunderstorms is expected across central North Carolina this afternoon and evening, with storms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes between 3 and 10 p.m.
According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, a Level 3 (Enhanced Risk) has been issued for a large portion of the state, including Raleigh, Durham, Fayetteville, and Greensboro. The storms are developing ahead of a strong cold front expected to sweep through the region late Monday.
