Duke women’s golf star Andie Smith named to All-ACC team

Duke Blue Devils women’s golf star Andie Smith put together a stellar junior campaign in 2024-25, winning the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational among three top 10s in eight tournaments, and she was named to the Women’s Golf All-ACC Team on Saturday as a result.

Smith finished in a tie for 23rd and a tie for 18th in her first two events of the year, but she rattled off rounds of 68, 66, and 69 for a 7-under 203 in Chapel Hill to win by a staggering five shots. After playing her first nine holes in 1-over-par, she rattled off 13 birdies in her next 30 holes, including the first three holes of the final round after teeing off with a one-stroke lead over North Carolina Tar Heels star Megan Streicher.

Smith finished in the top 10 in each of her next two starts, ending up in a tie for ninth at the Landfall Tradition in October and a tie for seventh at the PDI Intercollegiate in February. She finished the season with a 72.29 scoring average, nearly a full stroke lower than any of her teammates, and she finished even-par or better in 11 of her 24 rounds…
