Wrong-Way Crash on I-40 in Raleigh Sends Three to Hospital; Police Investigating

A serious wrong-way crash on I-40 near the Hammond Road and South Saunders Street exit sent three people to the hospital Monday night, according to the Raleigh Police Department.

The crash occurred around 8:23 p.m. when a driver traveling the wrong direction on the interstate collided head-on with another vehicle. Authorities are still working to determine how the driver entered the highway going the wrong way.

Emergency crews responded quickly, and three individuals were transported to the hospital. Their conditions have not yet been released…
