Father, son duo in $100M deli scam sentenced to federal prison

A father and son who orchestrated an international investment scam that wildly overinflated the value of a South Jersey deli have been sentenced to federal prison.

Peter Coker Jr. received a 40 month sentence while his 82-year-old father Peter Coker Sr. was sentenced to six months, according to court documents. Coker Sr. will also have an additional six months of home detention. He was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine and about $644,00 in restitution.

The little hole-in-the-wall deli in Paulsboro became the unlikely focus of an international investment scam stretching all the way to Hong Kong and Thailand…
