Yesterday evening, a stabbing incident at a Raleigh Sheetz gas station escalated into a standoff with a suspect who had barricaded himself in a nearby apartment. According to a statement from the Raleigh Police Department, officers were dispatched around 7 p.m. to the Sheetz located at the intersection of Millbrook Road and Green Road in northeast Raleigh in response to the reported stabbing, according to the CBS 17.
The victim, a man who sustained stab wounds, was quickly transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. The situation intensified when law enforcement later attempted to take the suspect into custody from an apartment.
