HOPE MILLS, N.C. (WNCN) — Aaron English, 32, is clinging to life after running through raging flames to escape his burning mobile home.
The fire started in the 2500 block of Thrower Road near Highway 87 in Gray’s Creek around 10:30pm on Tuesday. English woke up in bed to his mobile home fully engulfed. He got out of bed and ran from one side of the burning home to the other side where the door was.
“He ran through the fire,” said Katlin Taylor-Sprain, English’s sister.
According to Taylor-Sprain, English ran to their mother’s house, directly across from the mobile home. He banged on the door to wake her up, while leaving behind bloody footprints at the door and driveway…
