Many state park closures remain due to flooding from Chantal

Many parks and trails in central and eastern North Carolina remain closed as crews work to clean up from Chantal’s floods.

The closures remain in place as areas already suffering from flood impacts prepare for more rain through the coming weekend, the state’s Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Division of Parks and Recreation said on Facebook.
