CARRBORO, N.C. (WNCN) — A Carrboro woman says she’s thankful she’s okay after her home flooded last Sunday night during rainfall from Tropical Storm Chantal.
Lang Fowler said it was around 8 p.m., last Sunday night, when she noticed water dripping down her walls — and then the power went out. She decided to go to bed, but when she got up to use the bathroom, she realized the carpet was wet.
Fowler says she cracked open the door to see outside, and water started pouring in. She shut the door and made her way to the attic, where she stayed for hours until the water started to recede…
