RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh man was sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison for trafficking large amounts of fentanyl through eastern North Carolina, including Elizabeth City, according to the Department of Justice.
Joshua Vines, 40, pleaded guilty to conspiring to distribute more than 400 grams of fentanyl. Federal agents say he played a key role in a multi-person drug operation busted in October 2023.
