Woman charged with stealing 9 handguns, silencer from family member in Wake County, deputies say

WENDELL, N.C. (WNCN) — A woman is facing 11 felony charges in theft of firearms from a family member in Wake County, deputies said Friday.

According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the firearms were reported stolen on July 18 from a home in the 160 block of Winchester Drive near Wendell. The victim said he learned the firearms and a silencer were missing four days earlier and he believed a family member was responsible for their disappearance.

Following an investigation, according to the sheriff’s office, deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service arrested 40-year-old Ashley Nicole Zendzian of Raleigh on Friday in connection with the theft of the firearms…
