Durham adopts ‘promising’ plan to guide redevelopment of abandoned Northgate Mall site

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — After sitting closed for years since the pandemic, the plan to revitalize a defunct shopping mall in the Walltown community of Durham is closer to becoming reality.

People who live near the old Northgate Mall, such as Brandon Williams, are playing a key role in deciding what the site will look like in the future.
