A man is dead after getting hit by a car Friday night in Raleigh, according to authorities.
round 9:30 p.m., Raleigh police were called to a crash involving a pedestrian on Hammond Road near the Interstate 40 West on-ramp. They found 57-year-old James Patterson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
