Fuquay-Varina sees rise in car break-ins with Kia, Hyundai cars targeted, police say

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. (WNCN) — The Fuquay-Varina Police Department is warning of a rise in vehicle break-ins and theft, and say specific Kia and Hyundai cars are being targeted.

According to police in a post on social media, a notable rise in car break-ins have been taking place over the past month, with many happening in apartment complexes.

“Suspects are breaking vehicle windows and stealing property from inside—and in some cases, entire vehicles are being stolen,” the post reads…
