Early morning yesterday, a shooting occurred at a downtown Raleigh apartment complex, leaving one person with non-life-threatening injuries. CBS17 reported that the Raleigh Police Department said the incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on the 400 block of East Davie Street. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to the hospital.
According to abc11, police arrested 35-year-old Leslie Maurice Buford of Carrboro after the shooting. He faces charges including assault with a deadly weapon with intent to seriously injure, discharge of a firearm in city limits, possession of a stolen weapon, and a felony stolen gun charge. Raleigh Police secured the scene with multiple vehicles present and one building blocked off with tape.
