A rescue clinic is launching a fund for pets in honor of 10-year-old Brooklyn Mae Carroll, who was killed in a boat crash on Harris Lake in August.
“They wanted to fulfill her wish to help pets in need,” Ericka Basile, Executive Director of Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic, said. “So we’re going to try to really help her, her desire and her love and her kindness by increasing comfort and medical care to the animals that we work with.”
