‘Boots in the water’: Hillsborough charter school reopens after battling flood damage from Chantal

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. (WNCN) — From flooded hallways to full classrooms, a Hillsborough charter school devastated by Chantal is back open.

The July storm sent several feet of water rushing into The Expedition School, flooding elementary classrooms while leaving mud and debris behind.
