Heads up, Durham drivers: the license plate agency you’ve been frequenting at 5410 N.C. Hwy. 55, Suite AB, will be shutting its doors come next Friday. The DMV agency, managed by Triangle Management Agency, Inc. and helmed by Chris Wilson since 2015, is on the move – although the final destination is yet to be revealed. According to NCDOT’s official announcement, the current spot will cease operations at 5 p.m. sharp, so get your registration needs handled early.
Don’t fret too much, though; there are still options. Four other LPAs within a reasonable drive are ready to take over the load. There’s another spot in Durham at 4215 University Dr., Suite 8, if staying local is your preference. Or you could hop over to Carrboro, Cary, or Raleigh – each town boasting its own agency, helpfully open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, state holidays being the exception, of course.
