Dog walker is one of 2 victims in separate shootings just minutes apart in Durham

DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — Two men are recovering from gunshot wounds, including one who was walking his dog, early Sunday morning in Durham, according to police.

Officers said the first shooting occurred around 6:40 a.m. on the 1300 block of Catch Fly Lane.

Officers were told that the victim left the scene before their arrival. A little bit later, officers located the victim in the 2100 block of North Roxboro Street near a Waffle House, and emergency responders transported him to a nearby hospital. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
